TSB 14-0030REAR DOOR TRIM PANELS LOOSE - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 6/28/2013 Publication Date: February 17, 2014 FORD: 2013 C-MAX ISSUE: Some 2013 C-MAX vehicles built on or before 6/28/2013 may exhibit loose attachment of the left or right rear door trim panels, typically near the bottom of the door. A new retaining clip is now available to perform the repair. ACTION: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. SERVICE PROCEDURE Is the affected rear door trim panel damaged as a result of the loose attachment? Yes - replace the rear door trim panel. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-05. Use new style grey retaining clip on new door panel in the location identified. Repair is complete. (Figures 1 and 2) Figure 1 - 14-0030 Figure 2 - 14-0030 No - proceed to Step 2. Remove the affected rear door trim panel. Refer to WSM, Section 501-05.Remove and discard the one retaining clip from the rear door trim panel as shown. (Figure 2)Install the new grey retaining clip into the door trim panel. When the retaining clip is inserted correctly a clicking noise can be heard. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to WSM, Section 501-05.
