I have made three YouTube Videos for driving a CMAX the way it was designed to be driven Called How to drive a CMAX Hybrid to get great gas mileage, Also CMAX Mods to improve MPG's and Hypermiling to improve MPG's. Efficiency and Aerodynamic Mods: The First thing to do is to raise your tire pressure of your Michelin's to 50psi which is safe to do and I got 64k miles for each set of tires on my CMAX. :) Hypermiling Video not recommended for those who can't focus on institutional awareness of traffic around you all the time. Let me know what you think, any improvements. :)

Now that it has warmed up here in the great north I am getting the EPA estimated mileage. These last two weeks all my trips have been mid to upper 40's. My drives to work today were 45 going and 49.5 driving back. Very pleased! Just need to be resigned to lower mileage during the cold months.

Well, I bettered my last tank of gas with the one I just finished. Still not seeing the numbers most of you are, but I can live with this. Much better than what I sold to buy the Max. I wanted to take a screen shot of the miles before empty, but I didn't take the pictures until after I refilled the tank and that screen changed to reflect my now full tank. So you'll just have to take my word for it that it read 1 mile before empty. The pictures I've attached is the screen shot showing the overall miles and the other is a shot of the gas pump when I finished refilling the tank. I topped off to the nearest dollar, but the pump stopped at $52.50. Looking for even more miles but not sure how I'm going to get it. This last tank was the best I've got so far and I really tried to do everything right to get it. I just don't think there is more to get from my Max.

I'm a newbie to the forum, just signed up. I'm located in the south bay area of California. Bought my 2013 Platinum White C-Max SEL on September 20th from Frontier Ford in San Jose. Had 7 miles on the odometer and now it has just over 4,000. I have been able to muster 44.9mpg from it so far. But hope that will change this weekend when I head out on my first road trip to Sacramento. I've tried everything I can think of to get more MPG but 44.9 is my best so far. I've tried pulling out from a red light with little to none acceleration and once I get up to 25mph I kick in the cruise control to bring me up to my pre-set speed. I took a ride up to San Franciso on one of the local freeways and by setting my cruise control to 55mph (In the slow lane) and maintaining this for most of the 80+ miles round trip back home, I registered my best so far @ 44.9mpg. Just love this car and considering buying an Engergi as my second car once they start showing up here in my area. Look forward to connecting with other owners across the country and locally. I hope I can find an owners club to get together with, especially when we get back to summer.
