C-MAX Hybrid Guide Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 Ford C-Max Energi Forum - Ford will add another badge to its portfolio of alternative fuel logos beginning with the Ford C-Max Energi. Its basic design will be close to Ford's new Hybrid badge, which was redesigned for 2012 and appears on the Ford Fusion. Ford C-Max Energi badge. The 2013 Ford C-Max Energi's badge will consist of a blue road turning into a green leaf to the right of the word. The E is in green and is outlined by a silver electrical plug. The rest of the word NERGI is in silver with a dark gray background. Ford's revised Hybrid branding on the 2012 Fusion. The launch of the C-Max Energi will be followed up by the Ford Fusion Energi, which is expected to wear the same logo. Ford's all-new Ford Focus Electric, however, will use a third and different badge than the Hybrid or Energis. Ford Focus Electric badge. Badging DifferencesThe C-Max Energi is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle while the C-Max Hybrid, like the Fusion Hybrid, is a full hybrid (gasoline) variant. Thus, all of these models will feature Ford's Hybrid road and leaf logo. The Ford Focus Electric is not a Hybrid and will use a third logo that will not utilize the leaf marking. Ford's Electric logo consists of the word "ELECTRIC" in a gray stylized format that includes white shading as if light were being shone on the word. The letter "E" is green and the outline of the letter is in the shape of a outlet plug. The Ford C-MAX Energi is Ford's first-ever plug-in hybrid production electric vehicle and is expected to achieve more than 500 miles of driving using the battery and engine and delivers better charge-sustaining fuel economy than the Chevrolet.
