ArtCanada
Our 2015 C Max hybrid with 75,000 kms recently misbehaved. We were on our way to an event when the response to the Start button was a full display of problems. The tires were low, the engine overheated, the ABS malfunctioning, and so on, but no ready-to-drive green cars. A that point I got no response from the start button - I couldn't turn it off to start over! My Toyota Venza hybrid driving friend recently called his car a rolling computer, and I think he's onto a key point. Ours needed to be rebooted. I used a ten mm nut driver to removed the positive 12v battery cable in the trunk, but all dash lights stayed lit. My wife them depressed the brake and pushed the start button, and everything went blank. About fifteen seconds later, I reconnected the battery and we were only slightly late to our event. The car has behaved normally ever since, and are still pleased to have it.
