theskarnes
I've been having same problem for a long time when I start the car the steering wheel is locked and then it frees up as I move it. Today I started the car and drove forward and it was still locked and I got a warning light power steering service...something like that. I had never got the light before in 1000's of miles of driving with this issue. Seems like a problem with other CMAX/ford owners and there is a recall for power steering rack for 2014 fords but not for cmax. I have car in shop today so was wondering if anybody has dealt with this repair? I saw a youtube where the guy suggested a power steering angle sensor was at fault. Not sure but don't want to pay dealer 2k to replace entire steering rack assembly. Any help would be appreciated.
SnowStorm
Occasionally I have had the feeling of no power steering for a few seconds but never a warning. Do you have any error codes? Use ET (Engineering Test) display or better yet, get Forscan software and an OBDII dongle to read them. Lots of posts about ET and Forscan on this forum.
