NicksCMax
So frustrated with MyFord Mobile! I plug in my Energi and have it set to Value Setting, so it charges at midnight and is ready by 6am - at least thats what its suppose to do. Instead, for the past three days, it says its charging when I plug in, and it's not. After trying a few times, it says it will charge from 12am until finished. The last attempt said it will charge from 7am to 6am! How's that possible? Finally tried again, and it was set to charge at midnight, and never charged; I drive exactly 19.6 miles to work and had 4 miles of battery! I contacted Ford, they have no idea what to do, only suggested NOT to rely on the app to charge the Energi! Then why offer this? Anyone have any tips to master this? Thanks! NicksCMax
Day four, still no charge overnight. Contacted Ford again yesterday, still, no clue. Seriously, I love my car, but I am thinking less and less of Ford, again. How do you promote an app but give zero instructions or support? It's really pathetic. So in order for me to charge during non-peak, I have to plug in at midnight, manually. Fun! Posting a shot taken at about 6:46am today, notice the charge will be done at 11:14PM...that's insane! zhackwyatt
Here's a thought. I've heard of some people who's clock in the cars were set to AM when it should have been PM and vice-versa. Is yours correct? roninsd
Nick, have you checked out the Energi forum (probably more Energi drivers)?
Rob
I don't even have the option to set a value charge yet. When I try to add one it tells me the feature will be available in "early 2013". Maybe you were fortunate to define a value charge, but I wouldn't count on them working just yet.

I will check the clock in the car, but I am 99% certain it's set for the appropriate time, thanks for the idea. I didnt know there was an Energi only forum, thanks, I'll look for it!!! NicksCMax
Here's a thought. I've heard of some people who's clock in the cars were set to AM when it should have been PM and vice-versa. Is yours correct?Well, I was wrong, the clock WAS set for AM (currently PM), so it was on PM when it was AM during my frustration. Just plugged in for Value Charge, and it's CHARGING! AHHH! So, I went to the Value Charge area and clicked VIEW ALL - from there I hit Charge Now, and then Value Charge - back to the main page and updated. Now its plugged in "Waiting To Charge." Problem is, I've been here before. Do I risk waiting until midnight and see if it charges or do I just charge now?!?!? I think I will try ONE MORE TIME and see if it kicks in at midnight. Maybe I'll wait up, like a kid on Christmas. :rant2:
RachelnLa
Do you have to go outside to know if it's charging? Set the alarm and check. :)

Thanks. I didn't know that worked. So I just tested it and you can edit that window so you won't have to stay up until midnight. I edited the Value Charge setting, modified the time on the weekend setting and then saved it. Be careful because I think it forced the switch back to "Charge now". Set that back to Value Charge and update. If it works then you can reset it to midnight, set value charge, update, and rest easy. I hope! NicksCMax
Do you have to go outside to know if it's charging? Set the alarm and check. :)You shouldn't have to go out and check to see if it was charging, but I had to the first four or five times because the web site and app said it was - checked to confirm and it wasn't, so I kept checking. It seems to be working now; I had to plug in, defaulted to Value Charge, then unplug and turn off Value Charge; plug back in and Value Charge and that seemed to do the trick. Now it finally woke up and works on the first try. Just checked the battery, I can do 23 miles now - I was getting 20, 21, then 22!
roninsd
There's so much to learn, but ain't it great when it works? Congrats!

NicksCMax
Well, back to another disappointing two days of zero charge. I plugged in Thursday evening; checked the web site - says its not plugged in. Heard there was a glitch. Called Ford Friday; three people passed me around for almost an hour; no clue - said to call back - literally told me to call back! So today, I wake up - no charge. Read from one owner that you need to plug in, start up and turn off. Also theres a communication problem - this method worked, but had to set to Charge at 7am so I had a full charge for the day. Just plugged in - it's charging - site says not plugged in; cant sync for Value Charge either. This is getting ridiculous.
