Retired1
Hi Everyone I am a newbie and almost there to purchase this vehicle. I know you can get remote start on the SE and SEL models. It seems youcan not get it on the Energi. I have sen some references to apps used with the Energi while plugged in for recharge, so you have a warm/cold car when you are ready to drive. Please let me know if this is correct. Also, how can you do a remote start type of thing when you are away from home or not plugged in. I did try to research this but my skills in this area are apparently severly limited. Thanks for any help you can give. Retired1
Rob
The Energi comes standard with remote start, so you won't see it as an option or a dealer installed option. MyFord Mobile (app or web page) lets you remote start your car whether it is plugged in or not. You can also use the key fob at an extended distance (100 feet or more). The Energi comes with a built in "cellphone" to allow Remote Access to the car using the Ford supplied application on your cellphone.... Think of it as being like GM's OnStar but a bit smarter...
