roninsd
Finallly got my partner to take the wheel of my C-Max. He's been a little reluctant for some reason. It wasn't a long drive, but enough for him to comment, "it's like the little hybrid that could!" Adair
RachelnLa
Lol. My friends husband asked her if my car could go fast on the interstate, like could it keep up with the other cars! My husband hasn't driven Rainette yet :(
Adair
My boss asked me the same thing! Silly people!
LizM
My husband hasn't driven mine yet, either. He does have a heavy foot..and I wonder if that's what's stopping him. Probably, scared I will get mad when he messes up my avg. mpg. RachelnLa and Adair
MikeB
It's amazing how many people don't quite understand how the plugin hybrid works either, I keep getting people thinking I have to plug in every 20 miles, not realizing that I have a perfectly good gas tank once the battery is mostly depleted. They start getting more impressed when, after driving down the interstate for a few minutes, I sigh and explain that I'm finally going to have to start the engine. Jus-A-CMax
I think trying to get first time hybrid drivers to understand that you don't need to keep their foot to the pedal all the time - it's OK to "coast", its ok to brake early and slow.
