ScubaDadMiami
The other day I spotted an Illinois vanity plate on some non-C-Max that read: MERDE How did that ever get approved?Does no one at the Secretary of State's office speak French?I had to type an explanation of the meaning of the tag, in my application. Even then, they asked me to explain it when I was at the counter. You would have thought I was asking for PORNSTAR or something.
Jaydrama
Merde is the equivalent of "break a leg" in the French theatre. Edited June 24, 2013 by Jaydrama
C-Maxgo
Merde also means sh.......t in French. I don't usually swear but this word is okay to me since most people in the states don't know what it means. Uh oh, now I can't use it because everyone reading this will know. My husband was born in France and lived there until the age of 12. He taught me this dirty word. Merde just sounds so much better than our word. Those French really know how to make their words sing. MadManMoon
Just ordered my personalized plates... SEAMAX! (My wife and I are both naval architects, so this is fitting in multiple ways!) Now another wait until they get here! :happy feet: ScubaDadMiami
ScubaDadMiami
Still waiting on mine. I was told that I should expect arrival in eight weeks, which would have meant having my plate before leaving for my big trip to NC, but they didn't arrive before my departure. I hope that they are there when I arrive back home. MPG MAX
