Riddley
I located a series of Sync tutorials on the Ford support website. Here's something I'm eager to try out: How to set up Audible audiobooks for use with SYNC. Full Tutorial: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/audible-audiobooks-how-to-sync-myford-touch Play some of your favorite audiobooks in your vehicle using Audible and SYNC® with MyFord Touch®.Please note that this process requires a computer running Windows®. CMax
Thank you for this. I have a trip across the country coming up in a few months and found that audible is the best way for me to pass the long hours in the car.
Riddley
Will need some testing and debugging. I followed the steps outlined and got the Sync to properly show the books, but when I try to actually play the books, it reports an improper or unsupported format. It plays music from the same USB drive just fin, so I'm thinking that it has to do with the download. I'm going to be testing different download formats to see if I can get Sync to be happy with the format, and I'll report my findings back here. TuckedAway
Hey Riddley... did you have a chance to test another format and did any work?
Riddley
I was not able to get Audible books working from USB yet - though I have done only limited testing. Until I get more time to test, my fallback has been to use the Audible App on my phone, which has been working reliably.
Red Twin
I am using my iPhone to listen to my books. The books are loaded into my Audiobooks Playlist and that is how I access them through my Sync. They have all worked well and help with the daily 3 hour Commute.
