sixtyeightmk2
I am compiling a list of every damn device I've tried to use with MFT Sync 3.1.3 as a USB tether for use with the MFT Built in Hotspot. So far ZERO success. (This is with the built in MFT Hotspot.) Yes I know I can try bluetooth or wireless and I can get wireless to work. However I'm curious as Ford has no actual list of supported USB dongle devices so I am hoping to get one started here. This is mentioned here: http://media.ford.com/article_display9.cfm?article_id=31705and here: http://www.brightonford.com/sync-my-ford-touch (with video) "It also creates a mobile WiFi hotspot for passenger use by leveraging customer’s USB mobile broadband modem plugged into system’s Media Hub. WiFi capability will be standard on vehicles equipped with MyFord Touch™ with no additional hardware or subscriptions required beyond the user-supplied mobile broadband modem."and also here: http://www.thecarconnection.com/news/1040536_ford-sync-adds-in-car-wifi-hot-spot-capability I do regularly use my Samsung as a Wifi Device and for navigation as the 3.1.3 navigation is dreadful. Can you please reply with your device name and if it worked with your MFT Version 3.1.3 or the newer 2013 built C-Max as well? (And A3 VS A4 Navigation Card) Unsupported Devices in MFT 3.1.3: Pantech UML290 4G/3G LTE USB Cellular Modem + Verizon Wireless Service - DOES NOT WORK. - USB Unrecognized DeviceSamsung Galaxy S1 - USB Unrecognized Device Samsung Galaxy S2 - USB Unrecognized Device Supported Devices:None so far. Wingrider01
Kind of curious on how they can claim usb cellular modems, considering drivers are required for each and every device that are not native to th MFT system and have never seen a generic USB cellular modem driver. Even a PC require a special load of drivers when you load a USB modem the first time
