lifetime reset not resetting average view

I just rest the lifetime in the settings menu now that I've past 1k miles the lifetime stats reset but the average mpg that you see in the various display views did not. Is that normal?

Yes, they are independent.  You can reset the avg meter at any time while on any screen EXCEPT while on "my view" by holding down the left "OK" button.  The fuel avg on the trip meters are only reset when you reset the trip meters.  The trip summary meter resets itself after every power cycle.  

 

You have FIVE fuel economy meters:

 

1) lifetime

2) avg meter (the big one you normally see)

3) trip 1

4) trip 2

5) trip summary (displays after you power off the car followed shortly by the lifetime meter)

This would have been such good info to have when I got my C-MAX in November!!! Thanks for posting! It will be HUGELY helpful to new folks!!
