junior3zzz Posted January 4 Report Share Posted January 4 Hi all, I have a 2013 C-Max energi with a failed TCU, scanned by Ford service. Part # GM5Z 14G229 BC / GM5Z 14G229 BH. They even tested the TCU directly and determined that it was the issue. Since it seems Ford has abandoned ever making these parts again, I'm in need of a creative solution. The symptoms the car is having is a blacked out monitor, which means no stereo, no backup camera, or any of the Ford services that are accessed through the screen. AC does still work. Does anyone have experience with this? Any success adding some sort of tablet stereo and aftermarket modem? I'd love to get my backup camera again too, not to tip the boat.
