Hi All! I have a 2015 Ford CMAX SEL. I recent had a Mass Airflow Sensor replaced. Upon them fixing it, they said they found water in the computer so I had to spend another $700. They were also going to fix my door latch due to a Ford recall. When I got my car back a week later I noticed some sort of plastic cover with some black tar like sealant on it sitting in the back hatch. They also scratched my hood so I went to wash the car so I could go show them the scratches. After washing my car, I went and filled up with gas. Filled up and turned on my car. The gas gauge didn’t go up. Drove about 2 miles and the car started dinging and a light popped up saying “stop safely now”. I was already on my way to the dealer thank God. The shop tells me that the plastic was a cover for my door latch.

I am wondering if when I washed my car, it got some wiring in the door wet which may have caused things to short out. Is this possible?
