fixing Sync system after dealership screwed it up

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

First time poster, long time reader...

Well, my problem is I took my 3 day old C-Max hybrid to get the Check Engine Light coming on fix as well as doing the update to Sync.

Dealer wasn't able to load update (Tech told me they would keep losing connection with Ford servers) and I was ok with it because I would take it back when they figured it out.

As soon as I drove off the lot, my navi was stuck on dealership location, Sync button on steering wheel wouldn't work and radio wouldn't turn on.

I really don't want to go back to dealership and wait another 4 hours, so I read on here about taking fuses out, running car for 5 minutes and then putting fuses back.

I can now hear radio (nothing else) but everything else is not working.

Anyone has any other suggestion to resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance for any assistance any of you might provide.

The dealer may have partially loaded the software and screwed it up?
