I am five feet tall, and for some reason, I just cannot get the vents blowing on my face. And when it gets really, really hot (it's pretty hot now), that ain't gonna be good. :( This is the first car I've ever owned that I cannot get the air flow directly where I want it. fotomoto Posted May 31, 2013 Report Share Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) I have no problem with directing the central dash vent, the one just to the upper right of the steering, from blowing directly at my face. Are you sure it is on? There is a cut-off wheel just above it. Also, there is another vent just above the HVAC controller that is somewhat hidden. It can't be adjusted/moved and blows right at my lap. I don't care for that and have it turned off (cut-off wheel is in the center of that vent). METROMAN Posted August 31, 2013 Report Share Posted August 31, 2013 I don't like the hidden vent either. Usually keep it turned off. We also point the center passenger vent to the driver & the drivers vent to the passenger. If you turn the outer vents you can bounce the air off of the window & get pretty good flow on you too. I have the drivers seat all the way up and I'm not short (joe avg at 5ft. 10in). This gives me a better view of the road, the door sill height is better for my elbow when I want to rest my left arm, and ingress/egress is easier because I now don't have to sit down or climb up, I just slide in. I can never feel the air on my face. I am 5'7 and have to put the fan on full blast to feel it. I think that the steering wheel is in the way. fbov Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 Welcome! I have found this among the most adjustable cars for driving position. Have you used all the range of motion from the seat? It took me a while to find height, and I didn't like it all the way up, even with plenty of headroom. It seemed there was a sweet spot for my head... How about the steering wheel? There's a lever on the bottom side that lets you do just about anything by way of in-out or up-down. The idea is to adjust the seat so you're getting ventilation, visibility, and can reach the pedals, then move the steering cluster so you can see the instruments and comfortably steer.
