2013 c max builds vs 2012 builds

from all the feedback on this forum thus far, is the mpg any better on the 2013 builds vs the 2012 builds ??

Since there seems to be an improvement after break-in, the 2012s should be doing better right now.  Better to ask this question several months from now.

Too early to tell.  The prevailing thought is that it may just have to do with the warmer weather, though there has been a thought that the newer builds are doing well with fuel economy, right after deliver.

Don't know about earlier models but we only have about 300 miles on our 1 week old 13 model & already show around 42 mpg lifetime avg.Have gotten several 15-25 mile trips above 46. Daughter texted me today saying she got 54 mpg on a 7 mile run. Needless to say, I'm impressed. Hopefully the gauge isn't lying too bad.   :)

If I only looked at the past month or so, my "lifetime" average would be around 48 to 49 MPG. Unfortunately, I bought my C-Max at the beginning of November and had to suffer through 5 or 6 months of cold weather driving, which is why my actual lifetime average is currently only around 39 MPG. I predict that after a full 12 months, my lifetime average will be somewhere around 43 to 44 MPG.
