i am new to owning a cmax and so far have put over 600 miles on it in less than a week. i drove from my house to see my father over the weekend and in mixed and highway driving of 66 (the sweet spot to 66 mph) all the way up to 75 plus several little towns with untimed lights, for a round trip of 293 miles i averaged 41.8mpg, now i know thats not what ford claimed but its still 100x better than the 17.5 my 2000 chevy blazer averaged no matter what i did with 195k miles on it. this car is going to drop my fuel cost each month by 3/4 if it keeps this fuel economy up. from other post ive seen the fuel economy should get better as it learns my driving habits and after first oil change possibly. im going to wait till 5k to do first oil change my car total has almost 1k miles on it already and still has very clear oil not like other people have posted of it being green or milky looking. i have checked it every day since ive had it to see if maybe it will change colors as i use it and it hasnt still looks like brand new oil. hopefully this car last a very long time. i had the windows tinted on the oxford white cmax se and man does it ever look good almost like my own little rice burner. i just cant believe how much of a change some tint can make to a car that looked like a fish bowl before. i love my cmax and for now dont ever want to get rid of it. ask me that in 7-10 years it might be different but for now i will be happy with it for at least the next 5 years
