bigalpha
So after my attempt to get access into the diagnostic menus of the MFT, I can now no longer load the diagnostic menus. More importantly, many functions of the MFT no longer work either. 1. The phone menu is only partially functional; I cannot switch phones or edit settings2. The Navigation feature will only allow me to see the map; I cannot do anything related to routes either with the touchscreen or by voice command. Most of the buttons also don't load anything.3. I cannot access some of the MFT settings menus either. Other than restarting the car, is there some way to reboot the MFT system to its factory settings? ceemax71
You can reset MFT by using this procedure: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync-myford-touchOr, you can reset it by disconnecting the negative 12 volt battery cable for a few minutes, then reconnect it. Or, pull fuse 67 in the fuse box behind the glove compartment. Re-insert the fuse after a few minutes.Or, MFT can be reset without losing presets by this procedure: http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6474-how-to-reset-myford-touch-wout-losing-your-presets/ bigalpha
bigalpha
Thanks. I cannot access the 'Master Reset' function through the touchscreen, cannot use USB drives at work and don't have the tools right now to pull the battery cable. Looks like I'm pulling a fuse. Thanks for the help!
ceemax71
Just saw this service message on Ford OASIS.It says you also need to pull fuse 79 when MFT locks up. Jun 26 2013 6257 -2013 F-Super Duty and C-Max equipped with MyFord Touch Radio Lock Up/Inoperable Some 2013 F-Super Duty and C-Max vehicles equipped with MyFord Touch may exhibit a concern where the radio will not turn on, message saying SIRUS Update stuck at 0% status, CD will not eject with message saying - No Disk. To temporarily correct this condition, remove fuse 29 from the Body Control Module (BCM) on F-Super Duty and both fuse 67 and 79 on the C-Max for a minimum of 30 seconds to reset the Audio Control Module (ACM). A permanent software fix is being developed, continue to monitor oasis for updates. MikeB
bigalpha
Okay, thanks for the update. I pulled fuse #67 yesterday and it rebooted the MFT and fixed the issues I was having. It even seems more responsive now. On the plus side, I didn't lose my presets or destinations.
