slampro
There is only one topic in this section. Does anybody own a black C-Max? We should have ours within a month. I was hoping to see some pics of black ones here. I'll post some pics of ours when we get it. :needphotos:

slampro
I really like the way the black looks on this car. Yes there must be more. :detective:Everyone I know is telling me I am crazy for getting a black car, with black interior, and a glass roof....In El Paso. Yes there must be more. :detective:Everyone I know is telling me I am crazy for getting a black car, with black interior, and a glass roof....In El Paso. I like the way dark colors look. My first new car in Austin was a black Cherokee. Since then I've stuck to lighter colors but it was certainly tolerable. Just get your windows tinted and a sunshade for your windshield. The glass roof is tinted from the factory but I had them put the film tint on that as well. It still lets in plenty of light, IMO.
slampro
Yes, tint is a must here. I don't care what color the car is, tint is very helpful in the desert. I made sure to get remote start so I could cool it off some before I get in. I also like the tint in the mountains where I am from, Colorado. I haven't decided about tinting the roof yet, though most likely will do it. I have a friend who has a show car, that wins often. He had his roof of his XB cut and has glass from front to rear in it. I have talked to the shop where he gets his work done about making the pano roof on the Cmax able to open. He said we have to see after it comes in if it is possible, and how much it'll cost. I have asked Ford warranty dept. about warranty. They said that it won't void it, but if the aftermarket part/install fails, and affects a covered part, then that part would not be covered. I plan on checking into it once the vehicle arrives.

slampro
Post-tint. 25% rear, 35% front. Dealer installed 1 week after purchase at 300 miles. http://s1122.photobucket.com/user/slampro/slideshow/Cmax Edited August 30, 2013 by slampro
Alex Sams
Sweet! Like the tint. I've been looking at tints myself. Our black C-Max has the panoramic roof, and we live in the south. What tint did you use? I'm searching for spectrally selective tint that rejects solar heat with low inside reflectivity so our daughter can still enjoy the stars at night while we are cooler on hot days. TN law prevents us from using more than 30%. On my wagon I could get away with it being considered an MPV, but the C-Max is considered a car. Alex Sams
Here's ours in the frigid cold the morning after it arrived home. We got it second hand with 7k miles on it. SEL, 303 package, and panoramic roof.
Adrian_L
Initially I wanted Sterling Grey--it looked great in the brochure. But the dealer was having a sale and had a black one with the options we wanted (SEL with Nav and liftgate) A passed by a grey one yesterday. It looked.........well..........ordinary. Glad I got black!! And hey, a quick wash every weekend ain't so bad. Edited April 2, 2014 by Adrian_L
