Laurel
If I go into settings to turn down the volume on the voice guidance, it only stays on the lower volume briefly and gradually it is once again back to the loud annoying volume. Does anyone have a method of keeping the setting to save permanently on low volume?
fotomoto
Try this: next time the voice guidance is speaking, turn down the volume knob (or the steering wheel switch). You can use the same method for the MFT touch voice.
Laurel
Thanks fotomoto. I do that in desperation, but it also turns down the music volume too. I was hoping someone had discovered how to permanently lower the voice on the guidance system. I love our MFT, but that is one feature that drives me buggy. ScubaDadMiami
You have to make sure to adjust the volume only when the voice is speaking. If you do it any other time, you affect other volume settings. I use the steering wheel paddle while the voice is speaking. Whatever I set, the setting stays. So, you are either accidentally adjusting the volume when you think that you are not, or you need to get to the dealer for a check out. Laurel
I guess we will need to have the dealer look at it down the road (only due to go in next Spring). We set the voice to low when we start out and don't touch anything and she goes from quiet to annoyingly loud within a few turns. I'll try to be quick and lower the voice on the steering wheel and see if I can live with that, but what a pain. I do turn her off, but my husband likes to always have her on for directions versus just listening for the tones.
fotomoto
Spit ballin' here: do you have the auto-volume on in the sounds menu? If so, on what number?

Hubby has it set, but does not recall at what number. He will take a look in the morning.
