PapaJ
OK, the C-Max SE is now issuing a loud continuous chime during colder days when the car is placed in "R". I assume this is a freeze warning but there is nothing in the Ford docs to confirm. Question: can this function be disabled, very annoying. JAZ
Are you certain ice/snow isn't blocking/activating the rear nearby object warning alarm?
Adair
Sounds like the proximity sensors to me. I get that if they are covered with snow/ice/slush/icicles, mud, anything. Tone is different for the front and rear. If you hear it in reverse it's one of the 3 rear ones. Give 'em a swipe and the tone should stop. ptjones
viajero
This happened to me, too. Turn off the parking sonar to quickly verify if that's what's happening.
