Fuel Guage vs. Range Meter - miles to go

I haven't relied on the range meter. The fuel gauge turns yellow and then red when it gets close to empty. It actually turned from yellow to red during my first test drive (I think dealerships keep the tanks low to discourange thieves siphoning gas). I had it turn yellow on mine once and that's when I decided to refill.

Range has been pretty accurate for me (well I think so at least) On a recent trip home, it said that I had 96 miles to empty and the navigation said that I had 92 miles until home. I decided not to stop until I got home. When I got off the highway, I decided to get fill up.
