Marc Smith
starting to get the hang of the cmax mpg (hopefully looking at the first 600 mile tank) not looking forward to the less powerful fuel.. and all the other associated winter MPG killers... ptjones
Don't forget to make Grill Covers, it's good for at least 2mpg all year long and more so during the winter. Center cover can be left on all year long and lower one can be removed for long up hill grades. :) Paul Edited September 17, 2014 by ptjones obob
Marc Smith
Paul, yeah I haven't done it yet.. made them for the prius..nice custom carbon fiber... not sure if i'm going to do it for the C-max or not..
Kelleytoons
I really like winter in Florida, and I suspect my mpg will go up regardless of the gas (because, well, no A/C and no heat required). Yeah, the engine might not get as warm as it would otherwise, but since it needs to get a LOT hotter than even 90 degrees I don't think that's much of a factor here. Marc Smith
noticed the last few cool mornings...even having the car garaged. the ICE running a bit longer to warm things up..
Jus-A-CMax
Not over here...been a sweltering 109 yesterday at peak and this morning it was 78. Middle of heat wave, MPG is up....way, up. Edited September 17, 2014 by Jus-A-CMax
ScubaDadMiami
Still about 90F, but not above. That's an :airquote: improvement :airquote: for South Florida. Until end of November, it's certainly still air conditioner time for us.
