high mileage daddy
Was told by a passerby that right brake lighe was out. I found out that the marker was not working as well. Replaced bulk but, I have no power to that side. Left side working well. Anyone experience this? Thanks
Adrian_L
I'm assuming both left and right brake lights are on the same circuit---but check the fuses anyway. The only other thing I can think of is that water has got in somewhere and shorted something out. Or you have a bad ground. Or the new bulb is bad too. Podivin
Yep, I'd look for a grounding problem also. It's odd that both bulbs (filaments) go out at the same time, and that both are bad in the replacement. Before spending much more than 15 minutes on it, this should be covered by warranty. You've already done the obvious, now let the guys at Ford fix the problem.
scottwood2
No but I see you posted that you have no power to that side. If you took a test light or volt meter to the contact and you have no power then you have ruled out the bulb and ground. At least until you get power to that side again. Do the tail lights work because that should use the same ground. Also the side marker and tail lights are generally the same power source. The brake light power is another circuit.
