rjam
I cannot find out how to mute radio when listening to music. Forgive me if this has been addressed but search only led to phone mute. Thanks!

stevedebi
I cannot find out how to mute radio when listening to music. Forgive me if this has been addressed but search only led to phone mute. Thanks! The radio is designed to mute if other speaker functions are engaged (like if a call is made, you hit the voice button, or the Nav is speaking). I think Ford intended you to simply turn off the power to the radio if you want it temporarily muted. The switch is very conveniently located and I use it all the time. Adrian_L
I'm not sure I understand the question. By "listening to music" do you mean CD or AUX? If that is the case then the RADIO would not be engaged. Like Steve says, if the radio is on and you want a temporary mute---(or if you want to scream at your unruly kids in the back seat, like I frequently do)--the power button works great. markd
Usually I take my right thumb and turn it down, seems easy enough. I see no need for a mute button.
