My View and Engage

I bought a used 2015 SEL last Friday and still a bit behind the learning curve.

The left display window was set up to show "Engage" and I had just about deciphered most of it

when I decided to look at "Empower". I lost "Engage" and never did find "Empower". I have found vague references to 

"My View" but I have not found "My View". So, if someone could tell me how to get it back to "Engage" I would appreciate it.

Seems to me that a knowledgeable person could make some money by writing a book along the lines of the "Missing Manual"

series as the Owners Manual is almost useless. At least for me.

Press the arrow above the "ok" button on the left side of the steering wheel once. I prefer "empower" myself.

Here's the key from the owner's manual for navigating the left hand display:

 

• Press the up and down arrow buttons to scroll through and highlight the options within a menu.

• Press the right arrow button to enter a sub-menu.

• Press the left arrow button to exit a menu.

• Press and hold the left arrow button at any time to return to the main menu display (escape button).

• Press the OK button to choose and confirm settings or messages.

 

So, press the left arrow button as many times as it takes to get to the Main Menu.  Scroll up or down to get to the Display Menu.  Press the right arrow (or OK) to enter the Display sub menus.  Use the up and down arrows to scroll through Engage, Empower and so forth.  When you get to My View, you can hit the right arrow to allow changing / selecting what to display in My View. Hit OK and use the left and right arrows to alternate between the left and right portions of My View.  Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the data that can be displayed in My View.  Once you have selected the two displays you want in My View, make sure you hit okay to save the new settings of My View.

... as the Owners Manual is almost useless. At least for me....

I have no problem understanding your manual's Information Display section, starting on page 90. You'll want to look at the MyView options as it's the easiest way to see coolant temperature and RPM. If you prefer to hack, Plus already gave you the manual directions, but it's easier to comprehend when you know all the options present.
