A Zagg screen protector for the large My Ford Touch screen?

Don't know for sure unless one of us tries it.   ;)

However, I have an old Windows based smartphone with a similar type touchscreen ie. resistive.... and used a Zagg-type film to protect it.  Much to my surprise, the screen became more sensitive rather than less sensitive.  However, it increased surface friction so any sliding gestures were more difficult - but I don't think we have to worry about that on the MyFordTouch screen.  Simple presses, that's all.

Worth trying - who's up for it?  I have some extra sheets of protective Zagg-like film somewhere... just need to figure out where I put it...

I'll try it in the new year, funds are kinda low at the moment thanks to the Christmas et al. Theres a few companies that will do custom sizing so I'll start researching. Only thing though, most of the time they want liquid sprayed on the LCD and the screen protectors, that could be a big problem if the liquid seeps down.

Funny - I was just thinking about the water problem just this afternoon as I was waiting for my wife in the parking lot, sitting in the cmax and looking at all those ugly fingerprints made more prominent by the early afternoon sun reflecting off the MyFordTouch screen. Definitely don't want to short anything out if water seeps below the lower edge of the screen. Even if you were to pre-spray the zagg film, there is bound to be water dripping down into the lower edge due to gravity. Only thing I can think of is to stuff some kleenex down the lower edge before installation but not sure how successful that would be (not sure how much tissue can actually be stuffed down theree if at all). Hmmm gotta think about this some more..
