Sorry, But I tried doing a search and most of the posts were older.

We have a 2013 C-max hybrid with 58000 miles..

And our FORD ESP expired at around 50000 or so miles.

With out getting in a debate on the pluses and minuses..

Are there any options available to extend the warranty that are reliable..

Whether its Ford or 3rd party..

I had a 3rd party extended warranty on my Hyundai Santa fe that was pretty good years ago.

But can't remember who it was..

Thanks

Dave

There is an extended warranty for the APIM for the 2013. If your CMax is acting weird and the dealer says to unplug the battery to fix it - DON'T. If you do that, it erases the error code the APIM is throwing. The ONLY way they will replace the APIM is if the car produces a code. Been there, got the t-shirt but no replacement APIM.

12M02 ? Which was good for 5 years for Fords from date of warranty start for MY 2013 and 2014 and has more than likely expired as the original purchase would have to be after Feb 12, 2015.
