AgentCMAX
http://www.freep.com/article/20121220/COL14/312200068/Ford-C-Max-hybrid-excels-in-affordability-roominess-and-fuel-economy Fuel economy is a reason to buy the * * * * 2013 Ford C-Max hybrid crossover, but not the only reason. That matters because critics have questioned how close the C-Max's real-world gas mileage comes to its eye-popping EPA rating of 47 m.p.g. in the city, 47 on the highway and 47 in combined driving. FoutsNC
Nice review. I do like how he includes the response from Ford about the MPG How you drive affects your fuel economy, Ford engineering chief Raj Nair noted recently. Driving at 75 m.p.h. knocks 7 m.p.g. off vs. 65 m.p.h., he said. An outside temperature of 40 degrees reduces fuel economy 5 m.p.g. vs. 70 degrees. An engine that's not broken in -- a process that takes 6,000 miles or so -- can fall another 5 m.p.g. short. With these figures, my 38-39 MPG lately with 30-40 degree temps mainly at night with lights on with less than 2,000 miles should be good. My goal is 38+, which is double the 2011 Explorer I traded in. I am pretty sure that will be easy to achieve. I am pretty excited to see how 70 degree days are once the car is fully broken in. ptjones
I talked to him a couple of days ago and he was very friendly and informative too. I'm going to send him some info on grill covers.
