blsadrift
Hello C-Max Forum, A while back, one of our original Fobs went through the wash and we had to get a replacement, which I got from a local locksmith. Ever since then, the replacement Fob has been set as a MyKey. I've tried to figure out how to clear it and make it another Admin fob. I even went back to the locksmith and they couldn't figure it out. The weird thing, is when I go into the MyKey settings, the car states that there are 2 Admin keys and 0 MyKeys (see attached pics). Now, to make things more complicated, we misplaced our one Admin key and now are stuck always driving with the MyKey. I found a YouTube video explaining how to fix this with a Bluetooth Scantool, but I don't know if that would work since the car says there's no MyKey. Any insights would be much appreciated! plus 3 golfer
I thought all you had to do was to use an Admin key to start the car and then in the menus you can clear all MyKeys. There must be a minimum of 2 Admin keys programmed into the Body Control Module. You can program up to 8 keys. How did the replacement key get set as a MyKey? If you get the extended license version of ForScan for windows, you can program keys. Here's the post on the ForScan forums. https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10230&p=36198&hilit=programming+keys#p35045 Edited August 30, 2019 by Plus 3 Golfer
