emoran
Hello, I'm a first time user to this forum and hope someone has experience with this dilemma. We tow a 2018 Cmax hybrid behind our motor home. The tow package is all Blue Ox products. The brake controller is a Patriot III (model BRK2019). The problem is that the Auxiliary Power Point times out after several minutes of driving thus making the brake inactive. The in coach controller reports there is no connection to the brake controller. As soon as I open the door, the controller reports the connection is reestablished. We have tried both power points in the console (but not the cargo bay) to no avail. Blue Ox says this is common and suggests routing a new port through the firewall and connect it to one of the hot ports on the 6 pin plug. My question: is there a way to change one of the existing console power points so that it is hot all the time? Is there a problem with this technique? Thanks, emoran
bookemdano
Is there a reason you can't use the one in the cargo bay? That one is always-on. I'm unaware of a method to change the console ones to be always on (short of rewiring them to an always on fuse). fbov
