Jus-A-CMax
I was seriously not going to get the MyTouch Nav for Max, thinking that a $200 GPS would suffice. However, it came with the car deal so I am now really luving it. On the Navigator side, this is what I am finding: Pros:1. Huge, huge 8" screen. Beats anything out there in the mobile GPS. easy to see and read. 2. I LUV the fact that it gives you the 3 route options to the destination. Today, i went to the gym and normally the trip back would chew around 36MPGs. However, I thought I would try and NAV and use the eco route. It took a little longer but I burnt 40MPGs coming back. However, I did not check how much gas I used though since a lower MPG may be worse but if it burnt less than the higher MPG - more investigation needed. 3. "Show Weathermap" - how cool is that!!!! Cons:A. For some route, I seem to be driving on the side of the road according to the map, in 3D mode. Its funny. B. Refresh, not the fastest for sure but I can live with it. C. No free map updates and how long is the traffic update going to last?!? If Garmin and the other GPS can do these free updates for their $200 or less mobile GPS models, why can't Ford? Hmmmh... D. My old Jag nav always remember the last 20 destinations. This one doesn't seem to - not sure if I am looking in the right directory or folder but I have not found my old destinations yet. I have not tried the destination download using the syncmyride app yet but it's next. It sounds hot, just gotta find the time. So, for now, after actual use of the MyTouch and the Navigator, I actually think it was worth the money especially the different route options you can choose to get to your destination. Monk
Glad to read a positive post about MyTouch for once! I had the issue of driving through cow pastures, ridding rapids and more with my TomTom. The nav should be able to remember your last several destinations, I would think. My other Ford did, but it didn't have the MyTouch. Not having free map updates is bogus of Ford.

Ford released a free map update when they released a major My Ford touch update. They may do it again.
From Speed6ing 2 C-Maxing
IIRC the upcoming MFT update does/will include a map update.
