Jus-A-CMax Posted January 18, 2013 Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 The pole one looks bad but if you look carefully, the driver seat goes away from the impact area. Damage is still done though especially to the hip and thigh area, not good. Moral of the story, just don't go smashing into a pole on the side. As I posted very early on when I joined this forum, there is a pin and hole in the rear passenger door and thats crucial for bracing the door and protecting the cabin as this video demonstrates. Did not think the pole side test was too bad. This is especially welcome given the Prius V's relatively poor results on the IIHS results (the other car I was considering).
