  1. I'll admit that I first purchased the Ford all-weather mats. However, they just didn't do the job. They offered very little coverage, and the carpet around them was always getting dirty. There are two rear mats rather then one continuous one that goes across the center for that person who is riding in the middle. So, I broke down and got the WeatherTech mats. They are great because they are more like trays to collect snow and dirt. Although I agree with another poster who said that they do not extend far enough up in the front on both the driver's side and passenger's side, they are much better than the Ford mats.
  2. Since March 10, I've had my C-MAX in and out of the service center with check engine light warnings. After they ran various tests and didn't find much during the first two visits, they finally decided to replace the purge valve this week on the third visit. I got the car back today. So, we'll see how things go. The part they installed was AU5Z 9C915 D: Valve ASY according to the service report, version D of the same part everyone else seems to have had replaced. For those of you who had the part replaced in 2012 or 2013, have you had any problems since then?
  3. I have had the opposite problem. Often, it's difficult to get my liftgate to open in cold weather. Mine is a manual liftgate, not a power one. When I try to open it in the cold either with the key fob or just with my hand, the latch sounds like it’s trying to undo itself, but it takes quite a few tries either with the key fob or manually to get it to truly unlatch and open. Sometimes, I just stand there staring at the liftgate after having tried to get it to open many times and poof! The latch will unlatch finally. When I was at the dealer today for another problem (a Check Fuel Fill Inlet warning problem), I asked them to look into this liftgate issue. They could not recreate the problem. The service advisor said that perhaps it was too warm. The written service report says that they lubricated the striker/latch. We'll have to see if that solves the problem. Has anyone else had this problem with the manual liftgate, and if so, did you find a fix?
  4. Thanks for all the great information here, Last month, the Check Fuel Fill Inlet warning appeared upon startup in my C-MAX. I followed the instructions in the manual about inserting the fuel funnel a few times and waited the several driving cycles to see if the system would reset. The engine light did come on in the midst of waiting as the manual warned, but eventually, the warnings stopped appearing. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks. Then, the Check Fuel Fill Inlet warning started coming on again. I followed the same instructions, but many, many driving cycles later, the warning was still appearing. So, I visited the dealer this morning for that issue along with a liftgate latch problem. The service advisor told me that this issue had to do with just another computer update. The written service report stated that they reprogrammed the powertrain control module, cleared the code, and reset the light. Of course, having read what everyone posted here, I am skeptical if they really fixed the problem.
  5. The squares are part of the mat. They are there so that you can use the tiedown rings on the floor directly below their positions. However, to make the rings accessible with the mat in place, you would have to cut out the bottoms of the squares with a utility knife. The edges around the squares are raised about 1/4" to 1/2". The black "line" on the bottom right is the WeatherTech logo tag. It's smooth, made of plastic, and flush with the mat, not raised.
  6. Our check arrived on October 9, and we're in NY.
  7. This is a photo of my WeatherTech cargo mat inside my C-MAX hybrid. It covers the cargo area completely and extends up the three inside edges. As you can see it extends all the way to the edge along the rear of the car as well. From what I can tell, it fits perfectly. The material is typical of WeatherTech, and though it's pretty light in weight, it seems like it will be durable. If you're looking for a mat for the Energi, the Ford accessories website had one available over the summer. I made the mistake of trying it for my hybrid, but it's sized for the Energi and was six inches too short.
  8. Thank you for the suggestion. I tried the Ford liner, but it was about six inches too short in the rear where things would drag across the carpet when loading and unloading. The website says it is for the Energi. So, perhaps the Energi cargo dimensions are different.
  9. I was looking for a WeatherTech cargo liner, too, but the website says it's still not available as of today. As mentioned above, you can submit a request for them to consider manufacturing a particular item at their website. Here is the link: http://www.weathertech.com/service/product-request-form/
  10. The rubber floor mats from Ford accessories work well except for the lack of coverage on the driver's footrest and in the rear middle seat as mentioned in other posts. The material seems to be of a decent quality. WeatherTech hasn't manufactured a cargo liner yet, and the Ford accessories website says that their cargo liner is for the Energi. I ordered the Energi one just to see if it would work in the Hybrid, but it was about six inches too short in the rear. The material was pretty flimsy, too. So, I wouldn't recommend it.
