  1. Met with the General Manager, kept my cool and now have the rental until the issue is resolved.

Tech states he hears two different noises coming from the car. That's all I know as of today.

On an odd note my service advisor said that He wanted to send me some information from Ford Motor Company via e-mail...

  2. Took 3 weeks to get an appointment at Long Lewis Ford. They took my C-Max and gave me a rental 15 days ago. I called about a week ago to check on the status. Tech leaning towards transmission going bad. Received a call today from Long Lewis Ford Hoover, Alabama. They want the rental back. Their tech has the flu. It will probably be 2 weeks before they can get to my car again. Plus the tech still has two others on the rack ahead of mine. Supposedly my car is ok to continue driving.

They've had my car 2 weeks and the only thing they've done is a test drive and now they want the rental car back.

Currently on the with Ford Customer Service

Can't believe the largest volume Ford dealer in Alabama only has one hybrid tech.

  3. Add my C-max to the list of bad transmissions. 2013 purchased new September 2012. Roar started around 60k. Currently at 62k. Local dealer is currently trying to determine damage. Really hate the Focus rental , but kind of nice not dwelling on MPGs. 80% city 20% hwy miles.

  4. Welcome to Ford.. Buy some Vaseline...You are gonna get the green weiner.. Fit and finish on my 2013 sucks... I paid $ to have pieces aligned.. My dealer said it was within tolerance.. Three years of driving a car that sounds like a creaking pirate ship... Eventually you will get tired of visiting the dealer.. The people who built my car had to be drunk or on drugs... Ford you SUCK!

  5. Have you looked at any of the Ryobi cordless mowers? Most are lithium-ion and the battery can be swapped out. I have a 7 year old Black and Decker cordless. The battery is built in and it is quite heavy... But 7 years with no problems. It's been a great investment, If it ever dies, I'm switching over to Ryobi

  6. Subaru--- Great choice!! Back in September 2012 we narrowed our decision down to the C-Max and Subaru Crosstrek.. The interior of the Crosstrek was a little on the harsh side.... Most people don't buy Subies for the interior.. So we picked comfort and MPG.. Twenty two months into the C-Max... Would I make the same decision? Probably not.. Nothing against the C-Max.. But I miss having all wheel drive. I miss driving just for the enjoyment of it. Now when I drive it's all about MPG. Do I turn the a/c on or just suffer a bit? My original window sticker said 47/47/47. I've learned to hit those numbers.. I miss throwing something like potting soil or fishing gear in the back of the hatch and not think twice about it.. Just some insight from an early C-Max buyer who hasn't experienced any battery issues.

  7. I just want to confirm that is was the radio and not music streaming or coming from another device... During the first two months in my C-Max, anytime I started the car it automatically started streaming music from my phone.. There is a setting somewhere that can cause this to happen.. Sorry...I forgot where the setting is..
