  1. The "control assembly module" has been installed,...things reprogrammed. The service manager wants to drive the car for two days to ensure the issue is resolve.. If better not have any dents/scratches when I pick it up. Saw a red C-max today at the grocery store and they were parked at the end of the parking lot.. Just like I normally do..

  2. I got to speak with a regional customer service manager yesterday.... All I can is that I hope she doesn't get paid more than minimum wage.. The biggest waste of 5 minutes.. Supposedly my car is fixed, but the service manager wants to drive it for two days to ensure that no problems pop up. As a new car owner, I shouldn't have to do a master reset on MFT/SYNC. Nor should I have to pull off the road when my audio comes on by itself...freezes.. And can only be turned off shutting off the car..

  3. Three sighted today... Two running..One not.. We have a parkway coming into our neighborhood. This morning a red one was leaving the neighborhood.. An hour ago as I went to check on mine, a black one was headed in.. Not sure if they are neighbors, we have a hotel as part of our community.. Too wet for golf.. Of course mine is still on life support at the dealer. They got the modulator in, but they are having issues with the programming.... Mine is white.. I like the C-Max.. But Hybrid Star of the neighborhood is the Porshe Panamera Hybrid that stays parked at the hotel.

  4. Laurel...If a friend or family member asked about buying a C-Max, I would tell them to go for it but maybe skip out on the MFT/SYNC package. I have a lot of confidence in the C-Max, that's why I want mine fixed or possibly replaced with another C-Max. A friend of mine is a finance manager for a Honda dealer and he said occasionally they will get a "bad" Honda and lemon laws come into play.. I doubt there is a manufacturer out there that can guarantee 100% quality assurance on 100% of their product line.. I don't think you will have any problems...

  5. I saw eyebrow and thought eyelash.. Oops.. The window tint laws here in Alabama vary depending on the type of vehicle. Only the upper 6 inches of any vehicle windshield can be tinted, after that it gets confusing. I went to get a tint quote and was asked what category did my auto fall into.

  6. No status on the part... All I know is that the module is part of the system that discharges the battery if you are involved in a wreck. My issues have supposedly been passed to a regional manager for quicker resolution/options. Could possibly be a Lemon Law type of situation. Sometimes the audio portion of MFT/SYNC will turn on at a high volume level. It's a random occurrence and it scares the he## when it happens.

I'm not saying the C-Max is a lemon, just my particular car could be. I want the car fixed, to include my dashboard, MFT/SYNC, and possible AC issues. The AC froze up during a beach trip back in October..

  7. JB welcome to the club.. Just remember that for every issue you see on this forum, you probably have a dozen owners that haven't had any issues..

Mine is one of the earlier ones off the assembly line and I've had a few hiccups.. But even with the hiccups, I would buy a C-Max again.

The car is fun to drive.. Plus I'm impressed with how it handles on wet roads..

  8. I still don't understand the whole Ford/Enterprise agreement.. If I owned a Ford Dealer that housed an Enterprise car rental place, I would want Ford products as part of the fleet. The longer I have the loaner Jeep Compass, the more I like the ugly, but indestructible interior. In my Max, my wife is not allowed to touch anything.

  9. Mosscat... I'm also waiting on a part to come in. Never had to order a part for my last car during 9 years of ownership.

Occasionally I visit the Ford Motor Company Facebook page and it appears that parts being on "back order" occurs on numerous Ford products..

I don't regret my C-Max purchase and I don't think our issues are signs of things to come. But with it being a new release, anything that pops up...I'm going straight to the dealer.

  10. Would I buy a Jeep Compass? No, but I do like the ugly interior... I don't think you can scratch anything.....

No status on the part.. So far the dealer service department experience has been good..

**For those of you debating a C-Max, don't let any of the issues you see on this forum stop you from buying one.. Even with the issues I've had, I would buy another one.. Unless I win the lottery, and then I would move up to a CTS-V wagon by Cadillac.

  11. Latest update... My local dealer is consulting Ford engineers via email, so who knows how long that will take. The dealer's diagnostic computer shows an issue but they can't find it. Whenever the issue pops up, the car will either not crank, shut down, or go into a limited operating capacity. My car issue has turned into an episode of the medical drama HOUSE.

RachelnLa... Don't let my issue scare you about your upcoming arrival. I've had my C-Max since the middle of September.. So it's one of the early ones off the assembly line.. With any new product or redesign, things will pop up.

When every thing works, the car is awesome..
