  1. Well I switched my view to empowerment per a suggestion to see better how the EV was working---don't like that view much, prefer my simplistic Coach view. I was really surprised to see my ICE mpg is 20 when driving in my neighborhood or on surface streets while driving up to 40 mph. I think that sucks, but explains why in EV it shows as 60+, thus averaging around 40 something. And the point behind this is NO IMPROVEMENT with the update. Gonna have to break down and call the dealer and complain---never a fun time. Hope everyone else is getting some real improvement in the mpg with the update---
  2. I think ICE stands for internal combustion engine but I could be wrong. I have no idea how to tell if the update worked but I would assume you would have better mpg at 62-85 mph which I'm not seeing so I may take back to dealer--never a joy as they are quite condecsending.
  3. Sorry--not as techno savy as the majority of posters here but here is my issue with this "fix". Had it done on 8/13and am not understanding the info I'm getting since on my displays---I have the my view in a mode that shows bars for acceleration, braking and cruising. Before the upgrade my highway driving lowered the bar to halfway and turned yellow at about 75 mph, now it hits that stage at 65 mph. Now this makes no since to me if this update was supposed to improve our electric use to 85 mph. Also the braking bar is much more sensitive and the acceleration less sensitive, both of which seem strange. Actual gas mileage doesn't seem to have been effected based on trip numbers. It appears that no one else is using this form of my view but I like it best as it helped teach me to use this hybrid (my first). But if anyone could address this I'd appreciate it, before I call the dealer and am told its all in my head or inability to understand my car!! THANKS
  4. I thought the rubber mats came with my package but they didn't so I ordered them from FORD. Front seats are fine--back seats are the wrong shape no matter how you turn them. Anyone else have this issue??
  5. Todays explanation from FORD is its a cranking issue--when I explained whole car electrically dead---no cranking issue had arisen before it being just dead--they said AGAIN I just don't understand cars. They said a new service update informed them that when this happens they should reset the "module" and if that didn't work-which it apparently didn't--they should replace the "module". SO now waiting on the replacement module. When I pointed out that if it was a module problem it didn't make since that replacing the battery 2 months ago shouldn't have worked it was AGAIN that I just don't understand cars. Don't know if they replaced the last battery with a same bad batch one and no way to find out at this point.
  6. Today I am having my battery replaced AGAIN!! Replaced at 2 months and now at 4 months. Seems highly unlikely that it would realy be a dead cell a second time which is what Ford is trying to say. THOUGHTS ANYONE???
