  1. Bill, thanks for posting this. MIL came on today, codes P1A18 and P1A19. I googled the codes and your post came up, so I shared your info with my service advisor. Much appreciated!
  2. Paul, sorry to hear of your encounter. You may be a little more uncomfortable tomorrow. Interesting that in finkins, Jus' and your accidents combined there were zero airbags deployed.
  3. Ditto. Replace the leaves with built in scan gauge. Multiple lines of readout, customizable, of course. For the Energi folks, move the EV Auto/Now/Later button to the steering wheel.
  4. Sorry, I have to disagree. If your GPS is lagging then there is something wrong with it. Visit your dealer. Slug's navigation system works perfectly now that the GPSM has been replaced. (Even at highway speeds.) Don't settle for lagging.
  5. Transported a truck box, 70" x 22" x 12" in my Energi. Sure wish Ford would redesign the front passenger seat to fold flat.
  6. 07/12/13 build date for my Energi, complete with numerous code issues - P2183 being the most prominent. P2183 is usually accompanied by P0128 (thermostat). Had a rogue P2200 (NOX) show up as well. I wonder exactly what needs recalibration?
  7. The plug for the engine block heater is behind the passenger side headlight.
  8. Couldn't wait to try this when I got Slug back from the dealer today. The codes that showed in the Engineering Test Mode are not the typical OBDII codes. I've had no luck searching for them on google either. Here is a sampling of the DTC codes in history, eleven codes in all: C14600 C1582 C42481 C45A82 Any ideas?
  9. Thank you ceemax71 for sharing this thread. Can't wait to try it out! Oh yeah, maybe I should wait til I get the car back from the dealer.
  10. Interesting that you say that, drdiesel1. B/S indeed. The first update was done two weeks ago. Brought the car back in on Monday when the CEL reappeared. The Service Manager called me after his first call in to Ford, and told me HE was a little frustrated when Ford directed them to do the update again. He didn't exactly say it was 'wasting time' but that was the gist of it. Today he emailed data back to Ford and was again waiting to hear back before he could order replacement parts. Not sure what data he was referring to exactly. Or what replacement parts. My guess is that the problem is in the CTS, PCM, or thermostat, since P0128 appeared with P2183 originally. Gone are the days of reading input and output voltages to determine faulty electronics? Sigh. If you don't mind me asking, what's your recommendation on OBDII and/or ScanGauge? I would like access to a little more info and can't decide which way to lean. OBDII would let me read codes without time-consuming trips to the dealer. Scangauge would give me realtime data to monitor. But maybe that would be too distracting.
  11. Thank you Bill-N for posting this TSB. My Energi had this performed twice now, without success. Service Manager is waiting to hear back from Ford.
  12. Enjoyed following your thread. Your enthusiasm is contagious, thank you very much. If you think you are excited now, just wait til you start driving it!
  13. 1972 AMC Javelin SST with a 304 V8 automatic that would hit 110 with no effort. (What the heck was I thinking?) The car was red with inverted gold C stripes on the sides, and side pipes that added a nice rumble. (Probably Glasspack.) Janis Joplin belting it out on the eight track... Not exactly an inconspicuous ride.
