  1. It's a neat color. It's unique from other car colors on the road and that it's neither pale green or pale blue. It's a sort of mix. But it's a soft color. TIP is cute!! :) I have some potential names running through my head. Nerdy ones because I'm a sci-fi fan and I have some Doctor Who related names in mind. Or I might just drive it for awhile and see what feels right. I did that with my Element and it was rather neat. I had had her about two weeks and on the way home from work had someone pull out in front of me. I had to slam on my brakes while swerving to the right. She stopped so well. Without thinking or any premeditation at all, I reached up and patted the dash and said, "Good girl Elois." Then I was like, "Elois? Where the heck did that come from?" So I looked it up when I got home and the name means "Famous Warrior". Fitting I thought, so I kept it. :)
  2. Yeah I'll definitely have to do that.
  3. Most definitely. Good for you! Dealers aren't willing to negotiate around here because the cars are so new with some much hype.
  4. Thanks Laurel! I've actually seen it. The first C-Max I saw was Ice Storm with stone interior. It's a nice combination.
  5. Cassidy, you're killing me! When I got my Element I had a large Shepard mix who shed like crazy and after a long walk would drool. The lack of carpet was perfect for her. But she's been gone for a year now. I have two small dogs (a Boston Terrier & a chihuahua) that don't shed or drool as much. So cleaning my car isn't as intense as it use to be. I still wish the C-Max didn't have carpet. I don't see why any car needs carpet, but that's just me. I don't crate them. They'll just ride in the backseat. I wish I could sell my Element to someone in the family so I could still see/use her. That would be ideal. But, alas, I need to trade her in. We have used my Element to haul stuff a few times but my husband has a Tundra so we can make due without it. I love the exterior of the Juke but the mpg isn't good enough for me to consider it. I do wish the C-Max looked a little more unique but I'm not too hung up on it.
  6. That doesn't make me feel less guilty...
  7. Oh boy. That scares me. I've never owned a Ford either and I'm looking to buy my C-Max from a dealer an hour away. If I ever need service I'm not going to want to take it to him. I've heard dealerships can put you on a wait if you didn't buy the vehicle from them. That's never happened to me with Honda. Multiple dealerships have serviced my Element and I've never had a problem. :(
  8. I've always had silver vehicles because I feel that silver ages the best but I'm ready to shake it up a bit with color. I think the Ruby Red is my favorite but while I like the color, it's not important enough for me to pay extra for so I'm aiming for the Ice Storm Metallic.
  9. I had never heard of the C-Max, wasn't really looking for a new car and had never thought twice about Ford. Then I went to a local city festival called Fall For Greenville in early Oct. and they had the Ford Experience Tour there. We both liked the interior of the C-Max very much - the first thing I remember noticing were the floor storage compartments. Then the mpg caught my attention. I kept wandering back during the festival and having another look. It's been a month now and I've looked at the C-Max either in person or online each day since.
  10. How exciting! Have fun and can't wait to hear your reports in the coming days.
  11. Thanks! Good to know. :)
  12. Ah. Thanks. I was confused as to why there would be two so similar. I was not sure if these are official Ford forums or fan created. Yes, I have a Honda Element. How did you feel about replacing yours? I'm feeling guilty even though I want the C-Max. I love the Element - so easy to clean and haul stuff in. But I do most of my driving in city and I only avg 19mpg. :(
  13. Does anyone know if there is a difference between THIS C-Max forum and this one? They look so similar...
  14. I agree. Good luck in your search.
  15. Thank you! I'm sure you're right. :) RacheinLA, hope you'll keep us informed too!
  16. Thanks! That wasn't as exciting a story as I had hoped. Haha. Though with my name being Crystal, I'm quite fond of the name C-Max.
  17. Thanks so much! I'm surprised the dealer didn't know this. (Haha auto-correct turned dealer into faker.)
  18. I've never purchased a new car before and hear newer cars have chipped keys. Do you receive 1 or 2 keys with your C-Max? If just one, do you know how much a second costs?
  19. Floor mats, cargo mat & seat covers will be crucial for me to get ASAP (dogs). But I might have to do the homemade route for awhile too. The only bad thing about the entire floor mats is that it makes it much more cumbersome to access the floor storage compartments which I really like.
  20. I'm dissappointed that I can't purchase the hands-free option on the C-Max at this time (pushes it a bit out of my price range) so I was wondering, will it be possible to purchase and add that at a later time? Does anyone have a clue if you can add something like that on?
  21. Did it come with an inflate kit at least? The dealer I asked couldn't tell me. :/ That's one reason I'm interested in the C-Max. I get a bit claustrophobic and in my current car (Honda Element) you have great visibilty from large windows so I've been afraid to move to a smaller car. I was pleasantly surprised when I test drove the C-Max how huge and open the front windshield was and I didn't feel confined at all.
