  1. I was looking at the new Escape. But the wife liked the C-MAX more. I was/am planing on getting ~ 40 mpg, don't believe the 47. We are getting 39+ with only 1800 miles on it so it is not broken in.
  2. Found the programming instructions, I think, at the Strattec website. http://aftermarket.strattec.com/docs/On%20Board%20Programming/On%20Board%20Programming%2015.pdf
  3. I drive like the car. In the CMax I try to get the best mileage I can, try to accelerate without the engine coming on- never happens. In my Mustang GT I drive to enjoy driving and the car. It does accelerate well. My DD is a '11F150 with the new 5.0 V-8 and drive to have deceit mileage, but when I need to go the pedal goes to the metal. Just the new truck with the new engine has increased my DD mileage from 14 mpg to 19 mpg so I am very happy with that increase.
  4. I have a SEL w/ 302A package and the glass roof. The glass roof really lightens ups the interior by letting the sun light in. Haven't tried it at night about sky watching. My wife thinks it is worth the money.
  5. Took delivery of our RR SEL tonight after work. Did some final cleaning on it and starting learning the nav stuff. The daughter went straight to the audio section. Waiting until tomorrow morning to drive it when little traffic is around. The quietness will taken some getting use to. My wife will be the primary driver and she is very excited about the C-Max First time I have ever seen her excited about a car.
  6. My C-Max showed up at the dealer tonight at 6;00PM. The wife and I drove up and got in it. Will pick it up after work tomorrow. May take Friday off to 'play' with it.
  7. The FDAF and fuel fees are Ford fees that are shown on the Ford invoice. The X-plan sales the car for 0.4% under invoice, but then Ford/dealer add $275 on the price for administrative fees and up to $100 for dealer fees
  8. My 12-1 delivery has come and gone with no C-Max. The car continues to wait in Jessup, MD. The transporter, Allied Automotive Group, is taking its time, guess that is why they are in Chapter 11 bankrupcy.
  9. My C-Max is at the Jessup, MD CSX yard - made it there just before midnight on 11-29. Lets see if it gets to the dealer tomorrow, Saturday, as per the visibility tracking report.
  10. My RR SEL left the railyard 6 miles from the assembly plant today at noon. It sat there for seven days. Thanksgiving/weekend held up shipping i guess. Still has an dealer ETA of this Saturday, 12-1.
  11. Went to look at the new Escape. Saw a C-Max by the door. Liked the C-Max more.
  12. Ordered Model: SEL, 302A, Panoramic Roof, Ruby Red Exterior, Stone Leather Interior Order Date 10-15 Original Build Date 11-12 Altered Order Date 10-29 Change color from Ice Storm to Ruby Red Order Sent to Plant 11-8 Window Sticker available online 11-9 Altered Build Date 11-14 Actual 11-15 ETA-Delivery Date 11-26 Updated 12-1 Location Chester,VA
  13. Laurel Ask your salesman for a copy of the invoice as it shows the number of transit days. Also, ask for the vehicle tracking report form the www.vehiclevisibilty.dealerconnection.com site. This is a Ford dealer site only.
  14. Saw 4 Energi's at the local dealer today. all four were for a fleet order.
  15. Checked with my dealer today. My C-Max was built on Thursday 11/15 and received for transit at RAMP 4G at the assembly plant 11/15 at 19:20 EST. Delivery date still 11/26.
  16. Retail orders are for orders that are placed specifically for a customer and will have an order type 1; O/T 1 on the window sticker in the item box. If the car is purchased with the X-Plan the order ytype is O/T X. For iniitial production, the stock orders, O/T 2, take preference. This allows dealers to get cars on the lots for potential buyers, gets viewing time by the general public, and allows for 'bugs' to get found and repaired before the individual buyers get their cars. This is how the Mustangs and F150 are delivered so I would think the CMaxs' would foolow the same plan.
  17. For those of you wondering about the ETA of your car ask your salesman for a copy of the visibility history report. I believe it is updated weekly and can be accessed from the dealership software; dealerconnection. I got a copy of my thru Nov 9. You will get the same info as the Blue Oval site will give you and you don't have to do 10+ posts.
  18. The link is not available to the public. Get your salesman to look it up on his Ford computer.
  19. I like the Blue Candy, I have a Grabber Blue Mustang GT as a fun car so you can see where I come from, my wife liked the Ice Storm at first, but once see saw the Ruby Red her mind was changed quickly. SInce the car is for her she picks the colors. The Ice Storm is a little too pale for me it is a pale green not a pale blue as in the brochures and the Ford website. We both agreed on the Stone leather interior. Makes the car look/feel bigger than the black.
  20. thanks for the owners manual link. I want to start reading it before I pick up my vehicle. The salesman usually doesn't cover much of the info. I want to be up to speed on the nav and MFT.
  21. My Prius-owner-friend tells me Toyota is claiming battery life to be 10 - 12 years on the Prius and Camry's.
  22. I quit looking up dealer websites as they are too out of date. My salesman looked up cars available on the Ford inventory application. Never found one I liked that the other dealer was willing to let go. Dealer just ordered one for me. Noticed a couple are on ebay.
  23. For 20 miles of EV at a cost of $4000 plus the cost of a charging station is not justifiable to me. I tend to drive 50 + miles one way and there is no charging station at work. I feel the hybrid is the better buy. If Ford had gotten 50 -60 miles EV then I would have considered the Energi.
  24. The only extended warranty I purchased from the selling dealer was when he areed to match my internet offer. The last dealership refused to meet it so I didn't purchase it from him - the business manager didn't like it. I believe this is one of the things that the business managers are held accountable for in their jb performance so ask them to meet the internet price.
