  1. Glad you're well. If you should order the new Maverick plan on a looooong wait...
  2. Are you referring to the European C-Max or the United States version? There is a difference.
  3. Lost key fob for our 2013 C-Max and the key for our 2007 Focus along with house keys all at the same time, a rather lousy day. https://northcoastkeyless.com had fast delivery, detailed instructions and cost far less than dealership. Still had to take fob to a local locksmith ($ 50) for programming, but was able to easily program the Focus key myself. I believe the locksmith would have programmed additional fobs if I had wanted.
  4. Ditto...but not visiting the dealer means we won't be there drooling over the new Hybrid Escape.
  5. I'm neither Paul nor do I play him on TV, but a 28% increase in fuel economy with a nominal 35% increase in tire pressure seems way our of line. Perhaps your wife is more of a pulse and glider?
  6. Several of us on this board have changed the filter: there are YouTube videos that explain it succinctly. It's a bit fiddly, but quite doable. If you go for it, by all means wear gloves that protect from abrasion and refrain from expletives in front of small children. HOWEVER...for 25 bucks, it's a no-brainer to let them do it.
  7. Had a similar problem with my Ford Focus, ultimately fixed by replacing the Sway Bar Links. Not expensive and pretty much a DIY job. Good luck.
  8. Indeed, I'm in Michigan and at about 25,000 miles the air filter was showing very little dirt.
  9. FYI the 2015 models likely started building in August 2014, so the battery might indeed be 5 years old.
  10. Here's the 2020 ESCAPE Owner's Manual. Oil capacity increased from 4.5 to 5.3 qts. and no recommendation of 0W-20. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2020-Ford-Escape-Gas-HEV-PHEV-Owners-Manual-version_1_om_EN-US_07_2019.pdf
  11. Also, if the nuts were loose enough, it's possible the alloy wheel bolt holes have been damaged through movement.
  12. You having a problem with the. neighbors, vandals or a jealous spouse?
  13. Possibly brake pads binding and releasing with a 'pop' when accelerating?
  14. Have a 2007 Focus Wagon that had such bad carbon buildup on the throttle body that it was difficult to depress the accelerator. Got tired of 'slapping' pedal with my foot to accelerate and looked online for a remedy. Found suggestions for significant disassembly $$$ and cleaning. Finally just disconnected rubber boot from throttle body and wormed my fairly small fingers in there with a chopstick and rag and using plenty of throttle body spray cleaner dissolved the carbon, never again had a problem, over 20,000 miles ago.
