Thinking about how 'accurate' the MPG calculation is in the Max I figure the range is probably just as 'accurate'. If I have a gas can or someone with me that could push me into the gas station then I wouldn't worry.

Too me a little more than 16k miles and driving mostly without the air conditioning to get it. My range said I had 20 more miles to go but am not as comfortable as some in pushing it that far! http://www.fuelly.com/car/ford/c-max/2013/ChuckJr/224414

Got my A5 card in the mail today and checked it out. With all the construction going on here in San Antonio it has to have some changes to the roads here..lol I agree that the cost of updating the maps is ridiculous!! Not like it is Ford that actually does the map updates but rather package on an SD card however I only paid $49 for my A5 card so I am not as ticked off if I would had have paid the dealership cost!! Got mine this morning. I too do NOT have the ENERGI but my letter stated the same as the OP. After browsing the directory I am not formatting the stick and will add some music to it and keep it in the car. Thanks FORD!

Platinum White owners - what touch up paint are you using?
ChuckJr replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: C-MAX Hybrid
Sounds great Frank!! We have had a lot of rain but I did manage to get my repairs done. I am very happy with the color match of WP! I am not happy with my use of their product as this was my first ever attempt doing a touch up and I didn't put the layers on thin enough. =( Maybe one day I will remove this attempt and try again but for now it is covered. Unless you are feeling or looking at light reflecting off the area you can not tell where the patch is. I will edit this post later once I get my pictures uploaded. ***Edit*** Well here are the pictures. The camera still shows a slight color difference but the color is matched to where the naked eye can't tell. As I said earlier, the light reflection since the patch is not at the same level or smoothed out causes the camera to see the patch easily. Pre-repair photo Base coat applied First layer of pearl mid-coat Second layer of pearl mid-coat Another view of the repair -

Not sure if this has been covered somewhere else but can us Hybrid owners add/mod to have the external ATF pump like the Energi? Do we have part numbers for the external pump? Are there access ports in the CVT housing already? Rough estimate on the total dough this would cost versus the replacement of our trans when it fails?

That looks nice fotomoto!!! Hmm Me is wondering about how far away you are from me as I may need your assistance in doing the same to my WP tri-coat.

My CMAX came from the dealer having the tires filled with Nitrogen. I am no rocket scientist or engineer but the two benefits of using Nitrogen versus standard air was bigger particles means less loss of pressure overtime and the tires run cooler during longer drives. Now the crappy points, I don't have any way to play with my psi aside from going back to the dealer. I don't even want to check the current pressure they loaded cause I don't want to loose any psi (silly, I know). Is there any ill effects of increasing the psi with my home air compressor? Will it pretty much negate the benefits of the nitrogen?

Sorry to take so long but here is an update as of yet. I received my order from paintscratch.com, I am sure mtb will agree, the shipping time and packaging of items was above par. We had a bunch of rain come through the past few weeks so I was not able to start my repair until this past weekend. I must say the color match is spot on! I have put on the base coat and one thin layer of mid-coat so far I am sure I should only need on more layer of mid-coat I had just ran out of time to finish the project. Hopefully I can finish this week though. I have taken photos from start to finish to show the masses and will upload later. To be continued....
