  1. I assume you are asking about display modes for information about fuel economy and related items that are available on the screen to the left of the speedometer. This can only be changed using the 4 way plus "OK" buttons on the left of the steering wheel. Push the left arrow until you see a list that starts with "Display Mode". Using the up and down buttons on the left side of the steering wheel highlight "Display MOde". You can select "Display mode by either pushing "OK" or by pushing the right arrow. Once in the Display Mode you can scroll down through the options.
  2. I will look forward to learning the size/capacity of the battery installed in your vehicle. I'm not sure the 12v battery is used to start the gas engine--I understand a "good" 12v battery is necessary for the car to operate but as I understand it the car does not have a traditional starter--rather the motor/generator set in the transaxle functions as the starter and I think it is connected to the high voltage battery. See description here: http://www1.eere.ene...poet_2012_p.pdf
  3. I noticed the parking lights remained on after I thought I closed the door on the vehicle. Upon investigation I found a rear passenger door ajar. When I fully closed that door the parking lights switched off. I don't know if the lights would have been turned off by the car at some point but the headlight delay time had been satisfied and they had switched off. So this behavior might contribute to the explanation of dead batteries. Perhaps a related matter is the size of the low voltage battery. The Owners manual lists the battery as "BXT-96R-500 / BXT-96R-590" but when I checked the battery installed in my car I found a different size (73 I think but am not sure) and a very much lower capacity--390.
  4. I took delivery of my CMAX SEL today and am puzzled by the climate control. When I select "AUTO" the display includes information about the A/C--either ON or OFF. The A/C can be toggled ON or OFF and the system stays in AUTO mode. The manual says when in AUTO the system control temperature to the set level but I can't figure out how that could be true if the A/C is OFF. The manual describes the A/C on/off as a manual feature but doesn't discuss it in AUTO mode. Anyone have any info?
