  1. 1-800-392-3673 Have them open a case and give you the case number. Wife's C-Max is on 12 volt battery number 4 and not quite 2 years old. Ford is spending lots on getting it jump started. Their is a new TSB out that finally says it is not your USB thumb drive killing the battery. TSB 14-0155. There is a link to it somewhere on these Forums. If you have a chance I would recommend lemon law. Good luck.
  2. Battery dead again yesterday morning. Spent two hours awaiting a jump start. To the dealer again Tuesday. Had battery replaced Memorial Day weekend when it died previously. That battery lasted about a year. Wife really liked the car but is getting afraid to drive it as she does not want to be stuck somewhere. Car has 14,000 miles and this is the 3rd 12 volt battery to die in this car. We hate to spend the money but are looking for a replacement next week. Not a Ford.
  3. MPG is only accurate when calculated manually, not what the car is programmed to display.
  4. 13B12 "Supposedly" no "Fixed" the problem. Did not solve wife's C-Max starting problem. Reliability is more important to most than gas consumption. I always worry when wife is out and she calls since I automatically assume she is stranded and mad. Been lucky since so far the car has been in the garage. She likes the car when it is working well, but after three 12 Volt batteries in a year and a half of ownership is a bit too much. Wise choice in the Subaru.
  5. You have a very smart wife. Listen to her. :)
  6. Amen I hope your cancer treatments are successful.
  7. It is sad about the continuing problem with Ford Hybrids. I am sure that this forum has saved others from making the same mistake we did. No more Ford products for my family.
  8. Fordguy Call Ford Customer Service and complain. 800-392-FORD (3673) They can get a case number going that can help. I have had several. Have Ford Roadside Assistance on Speed Dial along with the Dealer. Also printed out the vin number in larger font so easier to read to them when calling.
  9. On May 24th car was totally dead, the first time in a year. Of course the car was hardly a week old before spending a week at the dealer for same problem. New battery and problems with brake system. The 24th got a new 12 volt battery. Today, car totally dead again. Another jump start and another trip to the dealer. Made sure service knew wife drove car in the rain. She agreed that the car should be reliable enough for rain but there was a TSB on water being a problem. She also has a chip in the USB port. At least they do not blame that. Wife very upset since this never has happened without warning on other cars she has owned. In our case what really is frustrating is all the problems I had with my 2013 Fusion Hybrid. It has started for about 6 months now but having two cars you do not trust is not good. At least both have not died at the same time. Instead of cash for lying about mpg they should give "Owner Frustration Compensation". Sad part is the Ford Dealership's Service Department is one of the best we have use in 50 years of car ownership. However, the product reliability will see that we do not purchase another Ford.
  10. My dealer gives me or my wife a loaner if the car is going to be there for more than a couple of hours. I guess they feel guilty on all the problems we have had. Good service department considering a design defect in regards to the 12 volt battery. :)
  11. Sorry but your problem is common with both the Fusion and C-Max hybrids. Kostby gave good necessary advice. I also recommend that every time it does not start to have Ford pay to jump it if you can put up with the inconvenience of waiting. They are more likely to attempt a repair if it is costing them for each breakdown. Also call Ford Customer Service and have a case number assigned for each event.
  12. My wife will not hear of putting more money into the car for a jumper battery. She, and I agree, that having Ford pay for a wrecker/jumper service every time the car breaks they may become interested in fixing the problem. The dealer put in a new battery based on my telling them it needed a new one. They are well aware of problem and recorded error codes about starting system error. In my experience the only thing going for the Ford Hybrids as they relate to me is the dealership.
  13. Wife went to use her CMax and it was dead. 2013 SE base model. Awaiting tow to dealer. The car was purchased Oct 2013. This is only her second replacement battery. My Fusion has been through three since late Dec 2013. Both our Fords are unreliable.
  14. mbedit - You think Ford wants accuracy? I think they want the car display to show 2 mpg better to make the car look better. Lots of people do not comprehend miles divided by gallons used, especially if the calculation is done after several tanks full.
  15. Dash readout a lie. My previous Fusion and now my C-Max and Fusion Hybrid always show 2 mpg better on car's computer than computed manually.
