Did you mount the strip on the outside of the lamp?
Here are some closer shots...

I find the slope of the route can make a 10+ mpg difference.

Too late for your C-Max. RSC (roll stability control) and traction control already apply the brakes without operator input.
Frank
yeah i read that in the manual. i haven't tried to force that RSC to work yet. wonder what the heck it does.

awesome. give us a report a few months down the road. I'd like to know how well it holds out with load, highway usage, etc...

Removal and Installation instruction attached.
From the picture in step 3, it looks like the clip is released by pulling the inside piece away from the light.
May be I'm slow... but those diagrams taught me nothing about removing the light from the hatch itself. The manual instructs to push those two clips in. I'm going to have find my own tricks. Thanks for the diagrams. It will help those who are trying to take the panel off.

It is already happening . . . just not with Ford, unfortunately. Here's the link.
Of course, the companies that are doing this are locking in with AT&T. So, there is nothing perfect out there.
"They contain vehicle-to-vehicle safety systems, which allow them to communicate with other cars as well as infrastructure elements like stop lights and traffic cameras. So, for example, if a connected car were entering a blind corner, and there were a disabledvehicle stopping traffic around the bend, the car's V2V system would alert the driver to slow down or even apply the brakes on her behalf. "
Uh no thanks. Don't BRAKE my car!

After doing some research, it looks like the Uhaul installed hitch is the same Curt 1 1/4 inch class 2 hitch that others have installed themselves. I don't have the right tools to do a self install, so I'm still debating between the Uhaul install of the Curt or having my mechanic install the more expensive Torklift (he will only install hitches that don't require drilling). I'm torn, as the Curt supports a heavier load but supposedly requires the stabilizer strap.
torklift install is really easy to do. Just require a pair of pliers and a socket set. Both will cost you less than $20 to get at HD or Lowes or Sears. You don't even need to jack the car up. I did it on the floor. It will help if you have a second person to help lift the hitch into place.

Yes, I thought that since I paid mo money for MFT with nav that I would get AppLink capabilities. I a couple of hours trying to figure out how to get it to work.
I blame Microsoft for a bad OS. I blame Ford for choosing Microsoft.
What other production ready alternatives do they have? I wish Google would just make an Automotive version of Android. Why do I need AppLink if I can just install NORMAL apps on it and tether it to my phone WIFI for data? So far only BAD Chinese HUs offer Android versions that probably don't work well.
BLAH. This subject gets on my nerve!

isn't this standard on all CMax?
-
Oh yeah, I got that part. It's the clip. Manual says to push it in and the push the whole thing to the front of the car than out. It just don't work that way.

What is the best way to remove the third brake light. I know there are four clips holding it in. Two I can easily access, but the other two is in the back. I have bent them out of shape while forcing the light out. I know I'm doing something wrong cause it's excessively difficult.

There is a delay feature in the settings menu that keeps the camera on longer after you have moved out of Reverse gear. :detective: Maybe you unknowingly made that selection and are just now noticing it or the camera just did it on its own for some reason (cough, aliens, cough). I really like this setting when I have the cargo carrier installed on the trailer hitch so I can monitor the load as I take accelerate away in D. :shift:
is that what the delay setting do. I thought it was a delay in the camera video feed. I always wonder why would I want to see what's behind me a few seconds later?

Setting temp on LO, set fant to LOW, turning off AC, and disable recirculation. But if the outside air temp is desirable and I'm traveling at 60MPH, why run the fan at all if it's just to let in fresh air.
-
Is it possible to just open the vent and let in fresh air without have the climate control on?
I have not been able to do this. I just want fresh cold air from outside. Instead, I get warm air coming at 60 degree (outside 45 degree). And I noticed that climate control was sucking up 10% of my EV range. So now I drive with climate control off and it gets too warm and need fresh air.
I never knew something that used to be so basic on all cars is not a likely feature. What's so hard about just opening up that vent?

Isn't it easy to test if this works? It just takes one night to know.

How is the reception.

just let your insurance company deal with hunting down the culprit. (although, it may not be likely) this claim should not affect your future premiums so I wouldn't worry about it.

I will have to give the hood torx screw a try. I wanted to take the foglights off, and was going to remove the headlamps to see if I can get to it. I failed.
-
Why not just get the housing and lights and then run new relay and switch and splice directly into battery and cig lighter. I know sounds easy but it probably not that easy since there isn't a lot of room to work with in the C-MAX. Who knew it would be so hard just to change a headlight bulb.
-
Just got mine done today. I went with 42 SMD bulbs for the cargo area. I also managed to jam a 5SMD bulb into the glove compartment as well. It was a little long but with a little pursuasion it went in. Was a bitch to put it back in cause I couldn't figure out how to take the glove compartment out to gain complete access to bulb. Either case it worked.

Installed a torklift 2" hitch
-
i do have iphone in one usb and ipod in other. This happens with FM radio.

Installed the hitch receiver this morning. Removing the plastic wrap packaging was the first big challenge. Second was trying to bend the tab enough. Thanks for the advice.
I cut the tab off completely with a dremel. (After 3 attempts to bend.... install.. uninstall... repeat )
