  1. Nope, we just use regular gas in the car, though when the car was in for service 3 weeks prior they did say they installed BG MOA Conditioner and BG Ethanol defender. The check engine light has nothing to do with it, I was just throwing that in as an fyi, that the car had service 3 weeks prior and everything was normal. Then the light came out and when we took it in that is when they said it needed brake work etc a long with the fix for the check engine light.
  2. Ok, got the service form back from the dealership, and the official description says: "Rear Brake Pads and Rotors - $550. We declined the service for now, but definitely feel they should last longer then 55k miles on a Hybrid. On a side note my wife's car was just in for its 55k maintenance not 3 weeks earlier and got a clean bill of help. Then last week the check engine line came on. When we took it back that is when they said the brakes needed to be replaced, it needed a Brake Fluid Flush ($200) and it needed a fuel induction cleaning ($200) as well as a Coolant Flush ($200) (This was after they just replaced the catalytic converted for leaking). So they didn't find any issues 3 weeks ago and now all the sudden everything is broken.
  3. My wife took her 2013 C-MAX in for service today and they told her she needs to have her rear brakes replaced because they were rusting. Is that normal for a C-MAX with only 55k miles on it?
  4. My wife got the email for her 2013 CMAX (purchased in 2014) and I got it also for my 2014 FFH (purchased in 2014). What a slap in the face to remove a feature for cars we haven't even owned for 4 years.
  5. So today my wife's car said KeyFob not detected on her 2013 C-MAX SEL. Is the battery dead on it? On my FFH it gives you a notification when the battery is low on the keyfob. Does the C-max not do this? And if not short of using the other keyfob or replacing the battery, how do you deal with a situation when you are out and this happens.
  6. I don't know how much they fully looked at it. Her car was in because the O2 sensor they replaced 5 months ago somehow came loose again. The touch screen completely stops working. So even after the car is back in drive mode the touch screen is unresponsive until the car is turned off and restarted.
  7. So my Wife's 2013 C-MAX keeps getting a message that the backup camera is unavailable and to see the dealer. When she took it in today for something else they told her the camera was bad and had to be replaced at the cost of $900+. Now a few things, when the backup camera stops working, the whole touch screen stops working also. How would this be a bad camera. I feel like this would be an issue with the MyFord Touch System and fall under the 12M02 Extended warranty on the unit. Anyone run into this?
  8. Ok, fine, but I don't think it should be leaking or below the min line. :)
  9. I finally got to take a picture, here is what I see. As you can see there is a lid, and their is I guess engine coolant around it. Its also just below the min.
  10. Can anyone check their engine coolant and tell me what the level is? I was filling up my wife's windshield washer fluid today in her C-max and I noticed the coolant level was a tad bit below the minimum level line. There also seems to be what looks like coolant around the top of the container.
  11. We picked up the C-Max today and they fixed the issue. The work document says the following: Check operation of radio controlsd preset buttons change stations but display shows incorrect stations self test APIM and ACM pass check symptom chart symptom not listed contact hotline was told to swap acm with known good component part not available was told to perform apim hardware test passed disconnect battery perform reset system working ok force program apim retest ok (yep that is exactly how they wrote it). So it seems like they didn't know what was wrong anyways and just reprogrammed the system and reset it.....
  12. Definitely something is wrong with the car, I have a FFH with the same system and I don't have any of the radio issues my wife's car is having.
  13. Did you ever get a fix/answer on this? We just got a C-MAX SEL yesterday and her regular radio is way messed up. Channels don't show correctly, can't change the channels with the steering wheel buttons. Right screen on dash says radio off. Tried a master reset and made sure MyFord Sync is up to date. Tried a master reset but no go. We just dropped a 1 day old car off at the dealership for them to look at it. Pisses me off.
