I lucked out a few years ago and took up Sirius's offer for a lifetime subscription for $300.  I called them yesterday and they said for $75 I can have the account transfered to the new car once the trial membership is over. 

It might be worth while to check out the cable traction devices.  They seem to have the advantage in close clearance areas.

My wife picked the Silver Ingot because it would (mostly) match my truck.

I'd be more interested in higher capacity battery upgrades later on down the road.

 

Or both lighter and higher capacity batteries that you can drop in to upgrade your old battery.

I agree.  By the time I may need a new battery who knows what the energy density of batteries may be by then.  One thing about a computer controlled vehicle is that if the equipment is changed or modified the programming can be changed to take advantage of the upgrades.

Thanks all for the input.  I have an update to the original post.  Instead of waiting until 2014 model we ordered an SEL today.  So in 8 weeks we should be enjoying the C Max like all of you.

Now I am really leaning on this forum for info.

Thanks, I appeciate the feed back.  I was a little worried that not many folks have driven the C Max on long trips because the vehicle is so new.  Any input helps.

Hi all!  I have been looking for awhile now for a forum of C Max owners with a lot of info.  After reading here it seems I have found it.

I would like to thank you all in advance for all the help and information.

My wife and I have decided to purchase a C Max SEL but have to wait until the 2014 models are out.  I know a long wait but that's how it goes sometimes.  I have a question to start with and any help would be greatly appreciated.

How comfortable on long road trips is the C Max?  Ride, noise and any other issues?  Sometimes we will do 6,000 miles a trip.
