  1. Hello

Having A/C problems on my 2014 C-Max SE.   Intermittent lack of A/C and loss of airflow  just like this TSB states.  But this is the first time this problem has come up and this is the third summer we've had the car.  It's near 50,000 miles so its out of warranty.   Trying to determine if I should take it to the local Ford dealer or search out a reputable generic repair shop.  Could it just be a blocked drain, and where is the drain on this car?

    Thanks

  2. My 2014 SE with 25,000 miles has been with us for a few days past 1 year  And this morning it was dead.  About ready to call roadside assistance

A guy comes out to give me a jump but he can't find the negative post under the hood. He gives up and calls for a tow.

The car is parked nose first in the garage.  The tow operator has to drag the car out of the garage and onto the flat bed.

At the Ford dealership they have no problem jumping the car and driving it into the garage where the spend all day testing and charging the battery.  After 3 hours they tell me that they found some Tech bulletins in regards to updating the software.  But they're having internet problems .  They drive me home. After another hour they call me and say that my car is ready

    Good Grief

  3. 2014 SE that we bought off the dealers lot in April.  It had been at the dealer less than a week.    Now  over 12,000 miles.  Have done an oil change.  Taken it in for one recall.

After the recall we couldn't get the time right on the center display (small screen).  Finally after correcting the date we could change the time.  That's it.  No issues or problems.

  4. First choice would be the dark blue metallic then the red metallic.  Two colors that cost an extra 395 dollars.   But I'm a guy and I look at other options first.  Didn't have time to order the perfect option package. The car that came closest had.        ICE STORM.    I liked it  but my wife wasn't sure.    But after buying the car she's happy.   If she's happy  I'm happy

  5. I have a 2014 C-Max hybrid.   I have always done my own oil changes and see no reason to stop now.  I would like to hear from owners who have done their own c-max oil changes. It looks like it'll be easier if I use my ramps.  I suspect the underbody tray must come off.   How hard is that?  Are the filter and drain plug easy to find?  Any special issues?

    Thanks

  6. Hi

The family vehicle had been a Pontiac Vibe. We've had two of them and being that they had Toyota power trains they were bulit proof.   Daily, my wife would get the Vibe and I had a Mazda Miata.   But I totaled the Miata on an Icy bridge (no one hurt). It was my wife's turn for a new car. We've had other Ford products: an Aerostar and two Taurus wagons.  One thing that my wife had to have was a higher driving height.  The Vibe was good but most hatches were too low.  Test drove the Mazda5, Prius V and the C-Max. She picked the C-Max and I said fine as long as it didn't have that silly powered lift back.  $1,000 was just to much in my mind.   The standard lift back opens just fine.  The Vibe is now my daily driver.
