I bought one tank of ethanol free gasoline. Could not compare mileage as was about to make highway trip. But it was $.40 more a gallon. Might give more power but I do not believe it is economical. What is the price difference for others that have bought it?

Auto does not turn my lights on as early as I like for safety in dusk. I don't run them all day for mileage reasons. So as I have for most of my life I turn them on when I want them off and turn them off when I exit the car.

Uhmmm, judging by your avatar it is probably just Bum making noise. He's good at that. :)

I am over 10K in 15 months. In local driving, 45-50 mph I get 50-60 fall and spring, mid 40's in Fla's hot summer. Highway at 75 I get 40, although one trip of 600 miles I got 47. Got into the sweet spot at 67 mph.

Happy birthday, youngster!

I got the 50+ at 67-70 MPH. The speed limit that I saw was 70 until I hit Texas and then was 75 but the traffic was flowing about 65. I will let you know about the return. Will probably be going back tomorrow or Monday.

I made my longest trip to date in my C-Max today. 512 miles door to door, Pensacola to Houston. My car reported mileage at 47.0 MPG. My best previous had been 42. This trip was all I-10 which is pretty flat. I noticed it frequently going into the mode where SOC is maxed and the instantaneous MPG was jumping up around the 50 mark for miles. I ran posted limits most of the way as traffic was moderately heavy.

I got the message and was concerned enough to check the oil. It was fine, I am about 8500 miles. Then I realized it was one year since I bought my car.

My daughter lives in Birmingham so I frequently drive I65. There is one stretch of road where the GPS gets about 30 meters off showing us on a parallel road. That last about 15-30 minutes then it resolves.

I retired three weeks ago and today went back to the office for the first time since. I was surprised that it still went into EV+ mode.

Who's a grumpy old man! Now get off my damn lawn!
Regarding older citizens and computers, I am 67 and was building my own computers for many years. Was texting my wife from the grocery store when the clerk said, "That is so cool. Could you teach my grandparents to text?"

I have had my C-Max two weeks short of a year so it is 1. I am 67 so I guess we average 67. Damn.

And will probably not do it again. It was .50 more per gallon than with ethanol. I will see if other stations have it closer to regular but don't believe I will get a 20% boost in mileage so at least I will try it on this tank.

I just turned 67. I bet I'm close.

Years ago I bought my first small SUV. And one of the happy surprises was how much easier entry and exit were in a car that sits higher than a sedan. The next surprise was how much more of the road I could see. I swore I would never buy another non-SUV. The C-Max changed my mind because it also has a high seat and easy exit and entrance. And it is fun to drive!

Have had my C-Max almost 11 months with a little over 7K on it. My daily drive to work is mostly in a 45 zones, part 4 lane and part 2 lane. I live in the the Florida panhandle so not much cold weather driving. I almost always get over 50 MPG to and from work with my best being 65 MPG. I know the route and where I will be able to let the battery engage. Other than on rainy days I find the biggest factor in the mileage is timing the lights and the actions of other drivers. Drivers pulling onto the road and forcing me to brake obviously cuts the mpg. On the four lane I try to always drive in the right lane to not impede the people who must push the limit. On the two lane 45 MPH sections I stay around the speed limit. As others observed I find I often catch the speed demons at the next light.
My long term mileage goes down after each highway trip. On the interstate I usually stay around the speed limit although in heavier traffic I will speed up to 75 to keep up with the speed in the right lane. On those trips I hover around 40 mpg.

There are dealerships where one can purchase the extended warranty over the internet. Unfortunately Florida has a law that does not allow a purchase of the extended warranty except from dealers in Florida. They are still available at much less than 3000 but you will have search using Google. I found one I think by searching Ford ESP Florida. The policy is in my car so I will try to remember to see where I bought it from. It was more expensive than those offered out of state but Florida automobile lobbyists appear to be pretty influential.

Admittedly I only get 40 on the highway at 75 MPH. In the city every tank has been over 50 MPG except one. My lifetime after ten months is over 47 MPG. And I live in Florida, so yes, I use AC. This is not a slow car. When you have to punch it from a start or to merge when passing on the interstate over 70 MPH it gets up and goes.

There may be something to the car breaking in and getting better mileage. Now that the temps have risen I am getting just over 60 on my drive to work. Last year was low 50's. I am now just over 6K miles.

A/C works great. I live in NW Florida and take a 3-5 MPG hit when running the A/C. No pano roof here so cannot comment on that.

Thank you, Scubadad, I ordered the proclip. I like the mount I have but my LG G3 phone has a reputation for overheating. My current mount has it right in front of the CD slot which is a great place to boil water on hot summer days. So I got a proclip that places it by a couple vents but that do not block the vents.

iF you have fog lamps they can be on with your parking lights and they can be seen!

I already have a holder that fits in the CD slot. I was looking for a vent holder so that during the summer months the vent would help keep my phone cool. The one I currently have is similar to this one.

When you want to operate without the A/C the air out of the vents when you start up has been baking in the sun. So when it is weather where I know I can live with just my windows open I turn on the A/C for about 30 seconds. It cools down the vents and the ducts quickly. I then turn off the A/C and can drive comfortably with the energy robbing A/C off.
